Biking the Balkans
In 2012, Suzie, Katie, Sessions, and Ski set out on a 3-month, 4,000+ Kilometer cycle tour of 10 countries in the Balkans.
During the trip, we raised over $4,000 in support of Mana Mission's program to build and staff bakeries for children in North Korea. While we never completed the documentary we set out to release, below is a flavor of what we were going for:
Heading out from Istanbul, the road took us south through the mountains. We faced adversity as a team when Suze fell off her bike near Kütahya. Suffering a broken collarbone, Suze and Ski took a few weeks off while Sessions and Katie rode off to the Syrian border. We joined forces again near the Greek border and began the long journey into the mountains of Montenegro, Kosovo, and Albania. Reaching the beaches of Croatia, we journeyed north before cutting back into Bosnia and Serbia, finally reaching the end of the ride in Sophia Bulgaria nearly 4 months after our start date.
